#3 Environmentally Conscious Companies I SUPPORT and WHY!!!
First let me answer the question….WHY?
My answer to you is: WHY NOT?!??
As many….or hopefully all of you have heard….there are environmental issues going on in our world. Yes….this isn’t a new thing. Our environment and biodiversity has been changing and evolving since it’s existence. The thing is now…..these changes are happening at a much faster rate and are causing a lot of issues because nature does not have the time to adapt to these changes in the way it needs to.
So what does that mean? And how we are associated with these changes?
Well….these changes are causing severe environmental issues and concerns. For instance: extreme fires, higher and lower temperatures, ice melting, flooding, tornados in places that have not had them ever before….and so on.
AND WE ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THESE ISSUES in 1,000s of ways……….but I have broken them down into 3 categories:
CONSUMPTION. WASTE. and WHAT WE CONSUME.
We consume all the time!!!!! and I am not just talking about food (I’ll get into that in a later blog). This time I am talking about things: we are a culture that CONSUMES!!! With fast fashion…we are constantly buying and getting rid of things because they are cheap and they ship in a day or two. And while that is incredibly convenient and I am guilty of doing that at times….it is SO NOT ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY!!!
SO……..now let’s get into some of the companies that I LOVE and SUPPORT and wish there was a job to be their FOREVER HYPE WOMEN and biggest FAN cause that’d be perfect!!!! 🙂

they sell good quality products that are sustainably made, but many of their products inspire sustainability and are made to last a long time.
They also ran this SUPER COOL campaign (which has served them extremely well) where anything Patagonia can be sent back and fixed with little to no cost.
. So that means that any clothes…..regardless how long you have owned them or worn them, can be shipped back if they are ripped, have a big hole, or are damaged in any way, to be fixed or get an exchange if needed for a cheaper price. Now how cool is that?!?!?
2. VOLCOM
The reason I love Volcom is because of their RECYCLED PLASTIC BATHING SUITS. YUP….i said it!!!! AND GET THIS…..they are super soft, incredibly comfortable, very cute styles, and last a long time!!! So, while they may be a bit more expensive….I can promise they are worth it.
I mean you get to look hella cute and support the environment at the same time! Win win situation!!!
3. M22
– store from my home town that is wicked cool!!!
M22 is based in Traverse City, Michigan and has the vibe of Billabong, and Patagonia and inspires a life of adventure!! M22 is a road that goes along the coast of Lake Michigan hitting some of Michigans most precious gems including the Sleep Bear Sand Dunes.
M22’s vibe is outdoor living with surfing, kite boarding, paddle boarding, long boarding, hiking, camping, and endless exploring.
They not only inspire people to take advantage of the incredible natural resources we have right in front of us….but also to protect them and support organizations that protect and preserve them as well. For example, M22 donates 1% of all sales to the Leelanau Conservancy.
Hear that??? So you’re not only purchasing really cool clothes that I guarantee you will wear all the time and that last forever….but you’ll know that your purchase is going to a good cause!!
4. 4Oceans
YES! YES! YES! they are working on one my biggest passions. REUSING PLASTIC WASTE!!!!!
Am I the only one who ABSOLUTELY DESPISES PLASTIC??? and yet it is still everywhere?!
Well…if you’re like me, join the club! I have so many cool ways to bring awareness to this issue, find fun creative ways to reuse yourself, and support companies who do it too!! Like 4Oceans.
If you are unfamiliar with them….4oceans takes plastic that they find in the ocean and breaks it down to be used for bracelets (their most popular item) and other useful materials! How cool is that?! They have done some incredible work and have so far pulled out…..
